We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in a skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The CNA plays a key role in supporting residents with daily living needs, promoting dignity and comfort, and ensuring high-quality care in a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and the use of assistive devices following proper safety techniques.
  • Take and record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other clinical data as directed.
  • Observe residents’ conditions and report any changes in physical, emotional, or behavioral status to nursing staff.
  • Support residents with comfort measures, personal hygiene, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist nurses and therapists during treatments and therapy sessions as needed.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and homelike environment; follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Build positive, respectful relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Actively participate in resident care plans and carry out assigned tasks professionally and consistently.

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
  • Listed in good standing on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry (if WI position).
  • Prior experience in long-term care or post-acute settings preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift, move, and support residents safely.
  • Strong communication, compassion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to resident-centered care and professionalism.
