Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures to ensure a seamless check-in process
• Support physical therapists by preparing treatment areas, assisting with manual handling, and ensuring patient comfort during therapy sessions
• Perform basic patient care tasks such as setting up equipment and monitoring patient safety during exercises
• Handle front desk duties including answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and processing payments
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment spaces and administrative areas to uphold clinic standards
• Assist with hospital or outpatient documentation using medical terminology and physiology knowledge to accurately record patient progress
• Support heavy lifting tasks related to equipment setup or patient transfers in accordance with safety protocols

Qualifications

• Prior experience practicing in a physical therapy role or related healthcare setting is highly preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and acute care practices to effectively assist in therapy sessions
• Experience working in hospital environments or outpatient clinics, especially within orthopedics, geriatrics, or post-acute care settings
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks confidently
• Inpatient or sub-acute care experience is a plus; familiarity with hospital medicine enhances your ability to support diverse patient needs
• Demonstrated organizational skills for managing intake processes and clinic operations efficiently
