Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience for a 13-week travel assignment at a hospital surgical unit in Miami, FL.

Details

• Hospital CVOR unit on the 2nd floor of the main building, with a 1:1 patient ratio
• Procedures performed include CABGs, AVR, MVR, thoracotomy, ECMO, pacemakers, tracheostomy, and MAZE procedures
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Call requirements include 24-hour call on weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and after-hours call on weekdays after 3:00 PM
• Candidate may be required to float and provide coverage at two additional affiliated hospital locations
• Documents system: Meditech

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CVOR surgical tech experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
• CST certification required; state license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the AHA or ARC required (no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions
• Two professional references required for Florida-based candidates
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided in the OR
• The unit is staffed with OR RNs and CVOR Surgical Techs across both day and night shifts
• This position is not open to local candidates — a 50-mile radius rule applies with no exceptions
