Position Summary
HGC Group Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Producing Sales Manager to lead agency growth while maintaining a personal book of business. This position combines sales leadership with direct production responsibilities, focusing on Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance and commercial trucking insurance solutions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, developing and managing a team of producers, strengthening carrier relationships, and achieving agency revenue goals. This role requires strong sales skills, industry knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proven track record of growing insurance portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Production
- Build and maintain a profitable personal book of business in Property & Casualty and Commercial Trucking insurance.
- Prospect, develop, and close new commercial and personal lines accounts.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, industry associations, cold calling, and marketing initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify appropriate coverage solutions for clients.
- Prepare and present insurance proposals and renewals.
- Maintain high client retention through exceptional customer service and relationship management.
Sales Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop insurance producers and sales staff.
- Establish individual and team sales goals aligned with agency objectives.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline development, and production performance.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
- Implement sales strategies to increase market share, revenue, and profitability.
- Foster a high-performance, client-focused sales culture.
Trucking Insurance Expertise
- Develop specialized expertise in commercial trucking and transportation insurance.
- Work with motor carriers, owner-operators, fleets, and transportation businesses.
- Understand FMCSA regulations and trucking industry insurance requirements.
- Assist clients with risk management and coverage recommendations specific to transportation operations.
Carrier & Agency Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, wholesalers, and underwriting partners.
- Negotiate favorable terms and identify market opportunities.
- Stay informed of carrier appetite, product offerings, and market trends.
- Represent HGC Group Inc. at industry events, networking functions, and community activities.
Strategic Planning
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning initiatives.
- Analyze sales reports and key performance metrics.
- Identify growth opportunities in targeted industries and geographic markets.
- Collaborate with agency leadership on marketing and business development strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.
- Minimum 5 years of insurance sales experience.
- Minimum 2 years of sales management or team leadership experience.
- Proven success in commercial insurance production.
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty insurance products.
- Experience working with commercial trucking and transportation accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Proficiency with agency management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, or other industry designations.
- Existing book of business and established industry network.
- Experience leading high-performing insurance sales teams.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
