Full Charge Bookkeeper, Marlboro, NJ. Temp-to-Hire role.
Salary: $26‑$35 per hour (DOE). Hours: Mon - Thu, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (regular hours after Labor Day).
Key Responsibilities
Payroll - Report payroll to ADP, record payroll, distribute checks, 401(k) contributions, daily financial recording, submit monthly payroll for workers' compensation, annual workers' compensation audit.
Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation - reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, merchant accounts; resolve billing discrepancies; month‑end close.
Prepare financial documentation; post journal entries to the general ledger.
State tax reports, reconciliations, submissions and payments (NJ, NY); quarterly state sales tax filings; year‑end reporting; quarterly corporate estimated tax payments.
Benefits administration - facilitate pre‑boarding, manage enrollment changes, administer the company health reimbursement account (HRA).
Corporate filings; certification and renewal upkeep.
Accounts Payable & Receivable - process invoices; pay supplier invoices; review purchase orders and bills of lading; create financial reports (balance sheet, income statement, A/P & A/R aging); reconcile invoices and purchase orders; resolve discrepancies.
Maintain attendance records & PTO tracking.
Process employee expense reports & petty cash tracking.
Supply ordering for department needs.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of paid full‑charge bookkeeping or small‑business accounting experience.
College degree in accounting is a plus.
Extensive experience using accounting software.
Experience in bank reconciliations and general ledger.
Proficient in accounts payable.
Must be organized and meticulous.
