Primary Function of Position:
This position is seeking a creative, analytical and flexible individual to help lead Demand and Supply planning analytics activities for Service Business Unit. Responsible for working with Cross functional analytics and business teams to define data sources, analyze complex data sets and build effective reports/KPI’s with easy to understand visualization. Develop key planning initiatives and strategies to support the ongoing transformation and continuous improvement of systems and processes along with other projects to drive efficiency and scalability.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ability to work with several different types of technology and must be able to use this technology to find and interpret data, organize databases and keep track of data sets. (Examples: SQL and Python)
Effectively find, collect, organize and interpret various types of data as well as present this data in a way that is easy to understand such as exception tables.
Collaborate cross functionally and within organization to formulate interpretations of data that can turn into actionable reports/KPI’s with summaries and chart visualization.
Understanding of various forms of math to calculate and interpret data and determine useful findings. (APICs Standard formula)
Ability to think through different Demand and Supply scenario planning and understand the impact to inventory projections/turns and E&O exposure.
Use and analyze historical shipments, procedure data, product segmentation, risk analysis, RMA/replacement rates, and consumption to develop actionable reporting. This includes understanding regional drivers such as training programs, promotions, preventative maintenance schedule, field actions, special incentives etc.
Responsible to use/create and review weekly operational metrics which enable us to identify plan issues and self-correct. This includes metrics such as forecast accuracy, sales plan/build plan accuracy, RMA rates, in transit and inventory health targets.
Ability to collect and translate key business factors such as commercial criticality, regional demand stocking strategy, material master and planned parts list to demand and supply plan supporting 6 quarters (SIOP).
Plan and track RMA returns for both FRU and carts to make recommendations for scrap approval.
Understand business planning activities in systems like SAP, R Studio, o9 planning system, EA Tables, SF360, Neptune and Agile
Skill/Job Requirements:
Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
Ability to visualize data in the most effective way (Example: Power BI, ERP Systems, Tableau, etc.)
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with machine learning and AI
Familiarity with data management tools
Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds
Excellent attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communications skills, presentations skills, and ability to interact with associates at all levels of the organization
Ability to use analytical and quantitative skills, and statistical techniques to solve complex Supply Chain issues
Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist
Understanding of quality and compliance requirements within the medical device manufacturing industry
Bachelor/Master’s degree in engineering or a STEM related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics
