Job Description Overview

We are seeking an Office Manager Energy to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. This role requires the ability to stop work without fear of reprisal for unsafe conditions that may affect personnel safety or environmental risk, and to manage high-level office functions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental risk policies, including stopping work when necessary.
  • Lead high-level office management activities for facilities, official correspondence, and administrative support.
  • Engage with executives, maintain confidentiality, and serve on the project’s Senior Management Team.
  • Supervise administrative staff, overseeing performance, professional development, and support for the project.
  • Manage office space at Isotek’s leased location (545 Oak Ridge Turnpike) and coordinate office logistics.
  • Provide business administration support to management, including staffing/interfaces and organizational office support.
  • Coordinate onboarding and new‑hire orientation for all incoming personnel.
  • Organize project‑wide fundraisers, luncheons, and special events.
  • Manage the “Raise the Bar Program,” including item selection and budget oversight.
  • Control sub‑budgets, the unallowable budget, and office supply budget.
  • Interface with Department of Energy personnel to schedule executive meetings.
  • Finalize Contract Change Proposals for the Business Manager.
  • Process donation requests from Isotek personnel and review/edit letters, plans, and procedures.
  • Oversee vendors such as office furniture and logo items.
  • Participate in hiring of direct reports to ensure suitable candidates.
  • Support execution of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) guiding principles and the Isotek safety culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent;

Associate’s degree in Office Management or related field desired.

  • Minimum 8 years of high-level administrative duties and/or customer service experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Visio.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational ability.
  • Capacity to interface at all levels of the organization and with the customer.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience working with an engineering, nuclear, or Department of Energy company preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Real identification.
  • Will undergo a federal background investigation.

Compensation

Expected compensation range is between $87,000 and $145,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
