The Position

Scale Operator/Dispatcher – organize customer orders and dispatch trucks for aggregate sales at various aggregate sites.

Responsibilities

  • Take aggregate orders and handle customer inquiries regarding products for various sites.
  • Answer phones and route calls in support of commercial aggregate sales and operations.
  • Generate and communicate sales orders to scale personnel and the finance department.
  • Reconcile, correct, and upload aggregate tickets for commercial aggregate sites.
  • Generate, communicate, and route pricing as needed to customers.
  • Weigh and ticket incoming and outgoing truck loads.
  • Print tickets and handle customer issues during the sales process.
  • Perform general clerical duties or other record‑keeping as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the Site Managers and quarry staff.
  • Handle cash transactions and process cash deposit slips.
  • Administer site‑specific training or information as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Willingness and ability to work every other Saturday.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi‑task.
  • Ability to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and in dirty and dusty environments when scaling.
  • Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Office programs, and the ability to learn proprietary systems.
  • Prior experience working with dispatching or scales (preferred).
  • Prior experience working in customer service and cash‑handling roles (preferred).
  • Must be self‑directed and motivated (preferred).
