Position Needed: Heavy Equipment Operator

Position Hours: Monday – Friday 7:45 am to 4:30 pm, and Saturday 7:45 am – 12:00 pm

Job Description:

• Greeting and assisting customers with unloading their scrap materials.
• Operating heavy equipment and/or forklift.
• Maintaining clean, well-maintained machines
• Maintaining an organized and safe work area for customers and employees.
• Identifying ferrous and non-ferrous metals and grading accordingly.
• Identifying hazardous and non-metal materials.
• Prepping various metals through use of various tools and machines for processing.
• Must adhere to all company safety and operation policy guidelines.
• Light mechanical work for regular maintenance on machines.

Qualifications:

• Heavy Equipment experience (Bucket loaders, large material handlers, Al-Jon baler, large shear machine)
• Ensuring customer and employee safety is the #1 priority.
• Knowledge of various ferrous & non-ferrous metals.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Team player with professional work ethics.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be able to demonstrate attendance dependability and consistency.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Compensation:

Paid, on-site training.
