Job Overview

The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple machines at the same time
• Operate CNC machines and run proficiently
• Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills

Education / Certification

• High school graduate or equivalent

Experience

• 2 - 6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeyman machinist

Skills / Competencies

• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances
• Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques
• Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions. Good understanding of shop math
• Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization and communication skills

• CNC lathe and/or mills

• Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects. Standing for 8+ hours per day.
