ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Veterinary Technician or Assistant at NCC, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring top-notch care for our feline patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with feline-specific medical procedures, diagnostics, and treatments, including blood draws, radiographs, and dental cleanings
Safely handling and gently restraining cats using low-stress, feline-friendly techniques
Administering medications, vaccinations, and fluids as directed by the veterinarian, with a keen understanding of feline pharmacology
Educating cat owners on feline nutrition, behavior, and preventative care to ensure lifelong health and well-being
Maintaining a clean, quiet, and stress-free hospital environment tailored to the unique needs of feline patients
Supporting the team with inventory management and ensuring essential supplies are stocked and ready for use
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Previous experience in a veterinary setting is preferred
A passion for feline medicine and low-stress handling techniques
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Reliability, professionalism, and compassion for both patients and clients

Skills
- Proven experience as a veterinary assistant/technician or in a similar role within an animal healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, restraint techniques, and pet care practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners, veterinary staff, and external partners
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Comfortable working with cats
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling software
