Material Handling Specialist

Roles and Duties:

• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for a protected workplace setting.
• Participating in safety training workshops will equip you with the expertise needed to excel in a fast-moving warehouse atmosphere.
• Prepare, transport, and deliver goods to retail outlets and clients.
• Maintain the precise handling of items for retail delivery and guest shipments.
• Manage the transportation of goods and streamline inventory flow within the warehouse.
• Maintain a workspace that is free from chaos, well-kept, and organized.
• Arrive promptly for work and ensure that tasks are finished with precision and within the set timeframe.
• Support the drive for operational excellence through engaging in problem-solving for continuous improvement.
• Display a constructive and courteous demeanor when completing tasks solo or within a group setting.

Requirements:

• Capable of regularly transporting items that are between 35 to 50 pounds in weight.
• Able to occasionally lift and carry items up to 60 lbs.
• Capability to remain upright, move, exert force, crouch, flex, and extend during work hours.
• Preserve a favorable and polished attitude while working within a team or on your own.
• Fundamental mathematical abilities, such as counting, adding, and subtracting.
• Ability to precisely comprehend and interpret information presented on labels, tickets, and other product-related materials.
• Use computer systems or mobile devices independently following proper training without constant oversight.
• Mastery of verbal and written communication techniques.
• Competence in comprehending, conversing in, and interpreting English to adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and directives.

Additional Requirements:

• Competent in undergoing instruction and using motorized machinery securely (such as Pallet Rider, Scissor Lift, Sit-Down & Stand-Up Forklift).
• Comfortable undertaking work at heights up to 40 ft when the need arises.
• Capable of performing tasks in environments with controlled temperatures, such as refrigerated and frozen areas, for prolonged durations.
