Shipping Helper

(Lavonia, GA):

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Shipping Helper to assist with the loading, unloading, packaging, and securing of heavy steel doors and related components for transport. This position works in a manufacturing or distribution environment and requires strong attention to detail to help ensure accurate, safe, and damage‑free shipments. Pay rate is $15.00/hour.

Essential Duties

• Assist with loading and unloading heavy steel doors and related materials
• Package, wrap, and secure products for shipment to prevent damage during transport
• Move materials throughout the facility using proper manual handling techniques
• Verify shipment contents and help maintain accuracy in shipping documentation
• Inspect products before shipment to identify visible damage or inconsistencies
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
• Follow company safety procedures and warehouse protocols at all times
• Work closely with team members to meet daily shipping deadlines

Requirements/Skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials on a consistent basis
• Must be a dependable heavy lifter and able to work in a physically demanding environment
• Prior experience in shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution is preferred
• Ability to read a tape measure is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to shipment accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Basic understanding of safe material handling practices
• This position does not operate a forklift

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout the shift
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of heavy steel doors and components
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
• Ability to safely handle bulky and oversized materials
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced industrial or warehouse setting
