Staff Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for multiple clients and entities
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Review, classify, and code financial transactions
• Prepare journal entries and adjusting entries
• Support month-end close processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Clean up and maintain accurate accounting records
• Communicate financial issues, questions, and recommendations effectively
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies

Required Qualifications

• Public Accounting experience (Required)
• QuickBooks Online experience (Required)
• Experience supporting multiple clients or entities
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Experience with reconciliations and month-end close
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Xero, Wave, or similar accounting platforms
• Payroll accounting experience
• Sales tax experience
• Cleanup and catch-up accounting experience
• CPA firm, bookkeeping firm, or outsourced accounting experience
• Experience supporting small business clients

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
