Position Summary

The Resident Social Worker provides intensive, individualized support services for residents experiencing significant barriers related to trauma, financial hardship, family conflict, behavioral concerns, mental health-related stressors, or complex systems navigation. Working closely with Bayview’s Housing Department, Family Support Program, and external service providers, this position helps residents navigate crises, access resources, strengthen day-to-day functioning, and address challenges that may threaten long-term housing success and overall well-being. Residents are typically referred to this role when challenges exceed the scope of general resident support services and require more ongoing intervention, coordination, or crisis response. In addition to stabilization-focused work, the Resident Social Worker will support residents who are preparing for greater financial or housing independence by helping connect them to resources, planning support, and advancement opportunities.
