Senior Investment Accounting Analyst

Location: Hartford, CT (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support GAAP and statutory investment accounting and reporting
• Analyze debt securities, equity securities, derivatives, and related investment income
• Prepare and review investment reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements
• Support statutory reporting, including AVR and IMR calculations
• Review investment pricing and ratings data
• Partner with investment managers, custodians, auditors, and internal stakeholders
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-4 years of accounting experience
• Corporate insurance/investment accounting experience or public accounting experience auditing investments

Preferred Experience:

• Statutory accounting/reporting
• AVR/IMR exposure
• Investment accounting platforms or accounting systems
