Position: Sr Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst.

Position Overview

The Senior FP&A Analyst provides valuable insights and financial analysis to the lines of business to be used for strategic decision making. The role collaborates with business units to drive continuous improvement in reporting, forecasting, planning and financial analysis, and provides support for all financial analysis and planning related activities. It evaluates and analyzes business case requests, provides recommendations, and performs work under minimal supervision.

Schedule:

Monday– Friday,8:00am– 4:00pm. The position is a hybrid model, requiring a minimum of 40% onsite presence or as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Forecasting:

Prepare annual budgets, operating plans, and routine forecasts in consultation with lines of business; develop and maintain tools to assist with driver‑based planning; partner to prepare long‑term forecasts for future contract renewals and software replacements.

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare reporting and analysis of actual performance versus operating plans; clearly articulate themes and performance drivers; review with business partners to ensure root causes of variances; make recommendations to enhance performance.

  • Scenario Analysis:

Perform sensitivity, scenario, and what‑if analysis and assess financial impact of changes to operations, new business opportunities, or acquisitions.

  • Business Case Review:

Prepare financial analysis of business case requests and ad‑hoc analyses (ROI, NPV, IRR, cost savings, revenue analysis); partner to facilitate the business case process.

  • Partnership &

Collaboration:

Serve as the trusted financial partner for lines of business, providing support, analysis, and insights for informed decision making and long‑term financial plans.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Handle complex issues and problems, referring only the most complex to higher‑level staff.

Qualifications

  • BS in Finance with 4 to 6 years of experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, or Accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial, accounting, and economic principles; advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; critical thinking and problem‑solving skills; strong communication, story‑telling, and people skills.
  • Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional (FPAC) – not required.
