Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This role offers stable, year-round work with a strong emphasis on quality craftsmanship and customer service—no high-pressure sales environment. You’ll play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC systems while building long-term relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems with accuracy and efficiency
  • Perform service and maintenance on furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps to ensure safe, reliable operation
  • Communicate clearly with customers, explaining issues and solutions in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Maintain organized truck inventory and ensure service vehicle is clean and fully stocked
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and respond to service calls promptly
  • Accurately document work performed, parts used, and system conditions
  • Follow all company procedures and safety standards while working independently in the field
  • Collaborate with team members and office staff to support efficient scheduling and excellent service delivery

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of HVAC service experience (residential and light commercial preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across HVAC systems and equipment
  • Hands-on experience performing field service and repairs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • EPA Certification required
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems, safety practices, and industry standards

Work Environment

This is a field-based position where you’ll dispatch directly from your home. The majority of work (about 90%) is residential, with occasional light commercial service.

  • Typical schedule: 45–50 hours per week
  • Participation in a rotating on-call schedule (occasional evenings/weekends)
  • Work performed in customers’ homes and small commercial settings
  • Use of standard HVAC tools and diagnostic equipment in indoor and outdoor environments

This is a Permanent position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58200.00 - $73000.00/yr.
