Hogan Landscapes is seeking an experienced Landscape Equipment & Shop Manager to take ownership of our shop, fleet, equipment, inventory, and repairs. This is a leadership position for someone who is highly organized, mechanically skilled, and takes pride in keeping a commercial landscape operation running efficiently.
This is not an entry-level mechanic position. We are looking for someone with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining commercial landscape equipment who can independently diagnose problems, communicate with management, and keep our crews productive.
Primary Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial landscape equipment
- Repair commercial mowers, 2-cycle equipment, pressure washers, trucks, trailers, skid steers, loaders, and other company equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Respond to field service calls and complete emergency repairs when needed
- Order parts and shop supplies through approved vendors
- Maintain an organized, clean, and accountable shop
- Track equipment repairs, inventory, and maintenance records
- Ensure trucks and crews leave each morning with safe, operational equipment
- Communicate repair status, equipment needs, and recommendations to management
- Help enforce equipment accountability and identify damaged or abused equipment
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical experience with commercial landscape equipment
- Experience repairing:
- Commercial zero-turn and stand-on mowers
- 2-cycle equipment
- John Deere skid steers and compact loaders (or similar)
- Trucks and trailers
- Pressure washers and utility equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Strong organization and inventory management skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid Florida driver’s license
