Residential Maintenance Technician/Handyman

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and self-motivated Residential Maintenance Technician to support a large portfolio of occupied single-family homes and multi-family rental properties throughout Zephyrhills, Dade City, Lakeland, and surrounding communities.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has experience performing a wide range of residential maintenance and repair tasks. The successful candidate will interact directly with tenants, troubleshoot maintenance issues, and ensure our properties remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete maintenance requests in occupied residential properties
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance issues
• Perform drywall repairs, painting, carpentry, door and window repairs, and other handyman services
• Repair and replace fixtures, appliances, locks, faucets, toilets, and other household components
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with tenants, property managers, and vendors
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and maintenance recommendations
• Ensure all work is performed safely and professionally
• Participate in emergency or after-hours maintenance calls as needed on rotating weekends

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential maintenance, handyman, property maintenance, or related experience
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general home repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues independently
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and manage time efficiently
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation capable of traveling between properties
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Smartphone proficiency for work orders, photos, and communication
• Background check required

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
