Certified Lawn and Landscape Technician

As a Certified Lawn and Landscape Technician at MJR Landscape, you will start out each day at the shop before heading out into the field. Working either independently or in a tight, two-person crew, you will travel from client to client delivering premium property care. Your daily responsibilities will heavily focus on precision outdoor work including specialized lawn and weed treatments, commercial mowing, and landscape maintenance. As the seasons shift, your role will transition to leaf removal in the fall and dependable snow removal operations during the winter months.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specialized turf care and weed treatments utilizing commercial equipment and product lines (including Weed Hammer systems)
• Commercial lawn mowing and precision trimming
• Landscape maintenance, structural property cleanups, and new installs
• Efficient seasonal leaf collection
• Winter snow removal operations
• Professional, friendly interactions with clients on-site

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in commercial lawn and/or landscape care
• Must hold a current Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification with Category 3A (Turfgrass) endorsement (required for commercial weed treatment applications)
• Must possess a valid Chauffeur’s License by your start date
• Must have a DOT Medical Certificate (we will provide assistance/guidance to obtain this)
• Must be a US Citizen and reside local to the Grand Rapids, MI area
• Must have a working smartphone
