Job Description: Government Procurement Financial Analyst (Associate / Experienced)
We are seeking Government Procurement Financial Analysts to join our team. This opportunity is open to candidates at multiple experience levels, including Level 2 and Level 3, to ensure the best fit for the role.
Role Overview
As part of the Government Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA) team, you will support the development of negotiation positions for the procurement of goods and services by performing detailed cost and price analysis of supplier proposals.
You will work across various contract types, including U.S. Government, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), supporting multiple programs and platforms. The role requires the use of quantitative and statistical methods to analyze supplier cost and non-cost data.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present complex data clearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing positions
- Perform cost and price analysis using statistical tools, market trends, and parametric models
- Support and lead negotiations with suppliers and customers by substantiating cost estimates
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Develop, maintain, and improve cost analysis tools and templates
- Travel as required
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least 1 year of experience in one or more of the following: Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Contracts, Estimating & Pricing, Business Operations, or Procurement Financial Analysis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience working with supplier-related data
- Background in business case development or financial analysis
Education & Experience
Experience is typically gained through a bachelor’s degree and approximately 3+ years of related work experience. Equivalent combinations may include advanced degrees with relevant experience or extended professional experience in a related field.
