From observation/inspection services to laboratory testing and materials and forensic engineering, our Construction Materials Engineering and Testing market helps to develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain and is a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.
Location and Role
Kleinfelder's Los Angeles, CA office is seeking multi-certified ICC Special Inspectors/CWI to join our Southern California team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in building their career in construction inspection and materials testing. The inspector will perform routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, prepare daily reports and data sheets, and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of their supervisor.
Qualifications and Certifications
AWS Certified Welding Inspector
ICC Certifications
- Preferred) Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety certifications (Concrete, DIA, Welding, Fireproofing)
- Preferred) Firestop
- Preferred) Los Angeles County
- Preferred) ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I
Desired Skills
Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills written and verbal
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and photo management software
Ability to learn and grow with technological demands pertaining to daily field reports and field data
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive hourly rate of $30.39 - $50.72

Paid travel and mileage from home office to and from project sites
Requirements
Must have own vehicle, valid driver's license, clean driving record
Must provide documented receipt of a COVID vaccine and current flu shot
Must be willing to travel throughout Southern California
Must pass background check and/or Live Scan fingerprinting as required
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
