Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped efficiently and safely for our kitchen operations. Duties

• Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients according to recipes and specifications.
• Perform meal preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
• Support chefs and other kitchen staff during service by providing timely assistance with food preparation.
• Handle food items with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and high-quality meal production.
• Participate in inventory management by tracking ingredient supplies and notifying management of shortages.

Experience

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with culinary techniques and food handling practices is advantageous.
• Experience in menu planning or catering is a plus for those looking to expand their skill set within the culinary field.
• A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about the culinary arts is essential for success in this role.
