Cost & Financial Accountant

Responsibilities

• Create data analysis and tracking tools related to operations, including labor, yields, material usage, and overhead.
• Analyze statements, labor hour analysis, yields and cost savings progress against plan.
• Collect data and conduct analysis to develop costing profiles for new products.
• Participate in audits, including financial and inventory audits, track inventory flow through the ERP system, and ensure cycle counts are accurate.
• Maintain and develop ERP system costing for customer products.
• Collaborate with corporate ERP system team to validate system data.
• Perform year-to-date budget analysis for management review and decision support.
• Produce various weekly, period, and quarterly analysis and variance reports.
• Demonstrate Lean thinking and participate in facility problem solving.
• Monitor daily finished goods, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain process knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Prepare month-end general accruals, account reconciliations, and perform other routine accounting tasks supporting forecasting and budgeting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a related field (preferred).
• Auditing experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Basic knowledge of financial analysis.
• Ability to be resourceful, demonstrate business acumen, and creative thinking.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information.
• Finance or Accounting background.
• CPA preferred.
