We have a current opening for a Preconstruction Manager for our Dallas, TX office.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short- and
long-term.
Provide leadership, direction, and training for all estimators; from beginners to seasoned
estimators.
Assist with design and selection of system components.
Complete budgets from Schematic Narrative phase to 100% CD phase; as well as
Design/Build projects.
Business Development, client Presentations, and contractor Scope Reviews.
Negotiate work with General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, and
Owners.
Review all invitations to bid, assessing project scope and available documents, as well as company manpower & work in progress, to determine which projects APG will accept for bidding.
Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short- and
long-term.
Oversee communication with all groups during the bidding process (Electrical Construction, Fire Alarm, Voice Data, Audio Visual, Security, Electrical Service) – to define scope of work for all involved, and to ensure timely completion of proposal submissions to General Contractor / Construction Manager.
Provide leadership, direction, and training for all estimators; from beginners to seasoned
estimators.
Review and finalize Estimator and Senior Estimator project proposals and bid packages.
Labor projections, monthly look-ahead assessments, and quarterly financial projection for all groups & scopes of work.
Assist with design and selection of system components.
Coordinate with Project Management for successful hand-off / transfer of awarded projects and providing guidance during construction as needed.
Business Development, client Presentations, and contractor Scope Reviews.
Negotiate work with General Contractors, Construction Managers, Developers, and Owners.
Complete budgets from Schematic Narrative phase to 100% CD phase; as well as Design/Build and IPD projects.
