POSITION SUMMARY:
The 12 Volt Installation Technician provides implementation services, including project management, technical installation training, customer hardware support, hands-on device best practices, and sales support for the Netradyne Driveri mobile system. The Services Engineer may provide installation and deinstallation services, technical assistance, device and camera location planning, and work closely with Installation Service Partners to support high volume and multi-location installations. This role will support Mid-Market and Enterprise level customer projects. This remote position requires residence in the Western United States, Northern California or Pacific Northwest.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
Train and assist customers (internal and external) with proper installation practices, including the use of all related products and services
Provide Project and Implementation Management Services for Mid-Market and Enterprise level Customer Implementations
Provide Train-the-Trainer Services
Provide Installation Services as required
Provide Technical Expertise for the Installation of 12v Netradyne Safety systems
Promote Best Practices and Standard Operating Procedures for vehicle specific installation services
Provide oversight for 3rd Party Installation Service Providers during assigned projects
Provide professional project management and sales support for assigned projects
Maintain professional customer service, frequent contact, and follow-up throughout the implementation
Contribute to the development of technical documentation, standard operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and online support content related to vehicle-specific installation processes and procedures
Track and escalate all installation-related blockers to facilitate issue resolution
Regular travel to customer sites (60-80% of time)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient and Expert Knowledge of 12 24v vehicle systems
Improved Knowledge of Vehicle mounted Cameras, Monitors, Sensors
Detailed Vehicle Knowledge of Wiring and Installation Procedures
Impeccable Troubleshooting and Alternative Installation Service Management
Ability to provide Efficient and Creative Training and Implementation instruction
Deep knowledge of the transportation industry and in-cab product services
Vehicle Telematics (including RP12226, J1939 OBDII)
Ability to travel to customer sites (60-80% of time)
Nice to Have:
PMP certification
Six Sigma (Yellow, Green, Black Belt) certification
Other industry certifications
Knowledge of NHTSA requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred
