Misericordia is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP/Caregiver) for adult residents who need care during our full-time PM shift, 3pm-11pm

Misericordia: DSP Position Overview & Career Benefits:

For our DSP role we are looking for individuals who are able to be very hands on in supporting and working with our residents. This position requires high energy, stamina and strength in addition to great patience and ability to support individuals needing a higher level of behavioral support and care. The PM DSP position will offer you the opportunity to jumpstart your career in healthcare as you provide physical care and companionship to our residents after you have successfully completed our paid training. The ideal candidate must be dependable, compassionate and have a passion for helping others.

Our PM shift offers an exciting opportunity to experience activities, outings and events off campus with residents! As a PM DSP, you will aid in residents’ quality of life by participating in activities that will enhance and develop your relationship with residents in addition to providing and assisting with personal physical care to our residents.

No experience needed! Our paid extensive & engaging training program will equip you with the necessary knowledge to provide high quality care to our residents.

Job Responsibilities:

• Full-time position, 3pm-11pm shift, weekends and holidays required
• Assist residents with their daily living and independence skills/personal care
• Committed to ensuring resident’s rights
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to implement quality programming
• Ability to demonstrate reliability, flexibility and adaptability
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently; self -motivated

DSP Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Successful clearance of background check, physical, and drug screen
• Reliable and responsible attitude
• Show compassion and commitment to providing quality care to residents
• Able to lift 40 pounds, unassisted.

Pay Structure:

DSP with HS Diploma/GED

Base pay: $20.00

• Day Shift: $20.00/hour on weekdays: + $2 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
• Evening Shift: $20.00/hour + $3.00 more per hour on weekdays M-F + $5.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
• Overnight Shift: $20.00/hour+ $1.50 more per hour on weekdays M-F + $3.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun

DSP with 4-year Degree

Base pay: $21.00

• Day Shift: $21.00/hour on weekdays: + $2 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
• Evening Shift: $21.00/hour + $3.00 more per hour on weekdays M-F + $5.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
• Overnight Shift: $21.00/hour + $1.50 more per hour on weekdays + $3.00 more per hour on weekends Sat/Sun
