We’re hiring a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations on the shop floor, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time production while building a high-performance, accountable technician team. This role is critical to scaling our manufacturing operations and bridging execution between production, engineering, and quality.
You’ll be hands-on in the factory, driving output, resolving issues in real time, and setting the standard for performance, professionalism, and culture on the floor.
What you'll own:
Production Execution Floor Leadership
Maintain a consistent presence on the shop floor to support technicians, unblock issues, and ensure production is tracking to plan
Lead daily shift standups and participate in production and leadership meetings to align on priorities, risks, and output targets
Set and communicate daily and weekly production goals in partnership with scheduling and production planning
Ensure all work is completed on time and to specification
Drive production flow, balancing throughput, quality, and efficiency across your area
Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to resolve issues and minimize production interruptions
Team Leadership Performance Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians with clear expectations around performance, quality, and accountability
Drive a high-performance, no-excuses culture focused on ownership, urgency, and results
Conduct performance management, including coaching, feedback, and corrective actions in partnership with HR
Own onboarding and training of new hires, including 30/60/90-day evaluations
Maintain and actively manage technician skills matrices and development plans to support growth and capability building
Safety Compliance
Enforce safe work practices and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
Conduct safety training and ensure certifications are up to date
Identify, address, and prevent unsafe conditions on the shop floor
Investigate incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up actions
Quality Continuous Improvement
Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions (CAPA)
Ensure adherence to work instructions and recommend updates to improve clarity and execution
Drive workmanship standards and participate in regular quality reporting and reviews
Champion 5S and lean manufacturing principles across the production floor
Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality, throughput, and reliability
Operational Efficiency Output
Monitor labor utilization, overtime, and productivity; implement improvements where needed
Identify downtime drivers and execute plans to reduce inefficiencies
Track key performance metrics (e.g., throughput, utilization, scrap) and drive measurable improvements
Support capacity planning across equipment and personnel to meet production demand
Communication Reporting
Provide regular updates on production performance, risks, and improvement initiatives
Escalate blockers quickly and effectively through the appropriate leadership channels
Maintain clear communication across shifts and cross-functional teams
What you'll bring to the team:
6+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with prior supervisory or team lead experience
Proven ability to manage teams in fast-paced, high-mix, high-volume production settings
Experience working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams
Strong ownership mindset with a bias toward action and problem-solving
Ability to drive accountability and performance across a technician team
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting quickly as priorities shift
Understanding of production workflows, quality standards, and manufacturing best practices
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to interpret production metrics and translate them into actionable improvements
Proficiency in Excel (e.g., tracking production metrics, labor utilization, and basic data analysis)
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Salary Range: $100,000-140,000
This is an onsite role at our location in Cypress, CA.
