Respiratory Care is the practice of the principles, techniques, psychology, and theories of cardiopulmonary medicine under the verbal or written direction or prescription of a licensed physician and/or the supervision of a qualified medical director.

Compensation and Benefits

• Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 for Mercy Washington RTs
• Loan Forgiveness: $20,000 in loan forgiveness available
• Loan Repayment Assistance: Up to $20,000 lifetime; up to $370 per month for eligible 24×7 hospital‑based positions (FTE 0.4+ and 32+ hours per pay period)

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of a program approved by the National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensure: Licensed with the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care
• Certification/Registration: Registered as a therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Experience: None required
