Overview Medical Screener, Phlebotomist – Gold Links Rd. Location at BioLife Plasma Services. This role reports to the Plasma Center Manager and involves screening donors and performing phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
Responsibilities Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and center safety.
Screen new and repeat donors, record donor vital signs and finger-stick results.
Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
Identify opportunities for ongoing process improvement and initiate changes to center procedures per company-approved guidelines.
Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, to support donors.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift
Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
Ability to lift up to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
Location: USA - AZ - Tucson
Compensation and Benefits Starting hourly wage: $16.00. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
