Job Description for Food Service Staff:
Working alongside the manager, the Food Service Staff assists in food and meal preparation, cash receipt management, and meal record keeping. They collaborate in compiling daily reports and emphasizing the importance of maintaining quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices.
Responsibilities for Food Service Staff:
- Prepare gourmet food and baked products according to an organized menu
- Prepare a daily report that ensures the legitimacy of transactions
- Knowing the contents of a meal is essential
- Ensure that food is stored correctly and under sanitary conditions
- Adhere to the meal schedules and departmental guidelines when serving food to clients
- Employing and preserving kitchen gadgets, notably knives, are essential for safe and efficient food preparation routines
- Ensuring timely preparation of various food items, beverages, and snacks to meet customer demands promptly
- Improve customer satisfaction and visual appeal through the addition of garnishes
- Aid in overseeing and coordinating the thorough cleaning of refrigeration units, freezers, and cooking and serving utilities
- Maintain food safety by following guidelines for sanitation, food handling, and storage as per regulations
- Maintain daily communication with the supervisor to accurately prepare and understand the daily menu
- Control and monitor the food temperature standards as necessary
- Ensure that your work and storage area is kept tidy and systematically arranged
- Keep equipment clean and sanitized by scrubbing counters, shining surfaces, and cleaning steam tables
- Follow specified protocols and norms for cleanliness to uphold a stable and safe environment; duties consist of sweeping, mopping, and performing dishwashing tasks
- Keep the garbage collection site and kitchen flooring areas in a tidy and hygienic condition
Qualifications for Food Service Staff:
- Obligatory Certificate for Food Industry
- Sufficient educational qualification or training to interpret, write, and conform to spoken and written directives
- Present the talent for working promptly and effectively under pressure.
- Familiarity with food safety standards is a cornerstone of best practices in the food processing industry
- Impressive customer service and excellent communication capabilities
