Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $22 - $30 per hour (DOE)

Shift: Day Shift

Overtime: Available based on production demand

Experience Level: Mid-Level (2+ years CNC machining experience)

Athena Manufacturing is expanding its machining operations to support growing aerospace, defense, and commercial manufacturing programs.

The CNC Mill Machinist II plays an important role in producing precision‑machined components while ensuring quality, consistency, and safe machine operation in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Operate CNC milling machines and related production equipment

Run production and repeat machining jobs with a focus on quality and efficiency

Conduct machine test runs and verify setups before production

Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments

Verify dimensions and ensure parts meet print specifications and quality standards

Collaborate with machinists, quality teams, and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency

You’ll work in a modern CNC machining environment utilizing:

Equipment & Systems

CNC Milling Machines

Precision machining equipment

ERP & shop floor systems (M2M / SFM)

Warehouse & inventory management systems

Inspection Tools

Precision measuring equipment

Materials You’ll Work With

Depending on production requirements, machinists may work with:

Aerospace‑grade materials

2+ years of CNC machining or manufacturing experience

Ability to safely operate CNC milling equipment

Experience inspecting machined parts using precision measuring tools

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Ability to troubleshoot machining or equipment issues

Ability to lift 50+ lbs with assistance during an 8‑hour shift

High School Diploma or GED

Previous CNC mill experience in a production environment

Experience with ERP or shop floor systems

Aerospace or precision manufacturing background
