Job Summary

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers by preparing examination rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits.

Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient histories, administering medications under supervision, and conducting phlebotomy procedures with precision.

Support patient intake processes by verifying insurance information, updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and managing appointment scheduling efficiently.

Conduct basic diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging, ECGs, and assisting with wound care or other minor procedures within scope of practice.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters using electronic health records (EHR/EHR management), including ICD coding and detailed notes on physiology and anatomy assessments.

Assist with hospital medicine tasks such as inpatient charting, medication administration, and supporting emergency medicine teams in Level I or Level II trauma centers or PICU settings.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols like Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and uphold high standards of patient service through compassionate communication and professional demeanor.

Experience

Previous experience working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or urgent care environments is highly preferred.

Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record management is essential.

Familiarity with dermatology procedures, medical-surgical practices, internal medicine protocols, or geriatrics is advantageous.

Inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers or within emergency medicine units will be considered a strong asset.

Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, medication administration, X-ray operation, and vital signs collection is required.

Knowledge of pharmacology principles, ICD coding standards, medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospital medicine practices will support your success in this role.

Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory to ensure readiness for emergency situations.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
