Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic ESL Teacher to inspire and empower students in their journey to master the English language. In this role, you will design engaging lesson plans, foster an inclusive classroom environment, and utilize innovative learning technologies to support diverse learners. Your expertise will help students develop their communication skills, literacy, and confidence while promoting cultural understanding. Duties

  • Teaches District approved curriculum.
  • Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
  • Prepares for classes assigned.
  • Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media, consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
  • Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the goals establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and the like to communicate these objectives to students.
  • Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
  • Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress

and grading reports in accordance with Board Policy.

  • Administers State mandated language assessments annually.
  • Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulations.
  • Assumes personal responsibility to remain current in best practices.
  • Plans and collaborates with instructional teams to meet the needs of the EL Learner.
  • Accessible to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day.
  • Works well with both supervisors and other members of the team.
  • Maintains consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Performs other duties assigned by supervisor or administrator.

Pay: $45,220.00 - $82,070.00 per year
