Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Bogart's in Clifton, between the hours of 9:00 pm and 3:00 am.This role is vital in ensuring that all spaces are hygienic, well-maintained, and presentable for employees, visitors, and clients alike. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct floor care tasks such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks in storage areas or manufacturing zones as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, fixtures, and furniture to uphold a professional environment
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly
• Support custodial operations by restocking supplies like paper towels, soap dispensers, and trash bags
• Ensure health and safety standards are met by following proper cleaning procedures and using protective equipment

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques
• Strong understanding of floor care procedures including buffing and polishing floors
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and vacuums efficiently
• Familiarity with custodial supplies and proper handling of cleaning chemicals
• Experience in facilities maintenance or porter duties is highly desirable
• Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks effectively
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
