Respiratory Therapist - Field/Office Based (Hospital) | Permanent RRT Position – Tucson , AZ
Respiratory Care Navigator — RRT In-Home Tucson, AZ
You spent years mastering ventilator management in the ICU or PICU. You know what it takes to keep the most complex patients stable. But somewhere along the way, the 12-hour rotating shifts, the revolving door of patients, and the distance from meaningful outcomes started to wear on you.
This role was built for clinicians like you.
What This Role Actually Is
As a Respiratory Care Navigator, you'll carry a dedicated caseload of ventilator‑dependent pediatric and ALS patients — in their homes, on their terms.
You're the clinical expert who bridges the gap between the hospital and home, ensuring these patients and their families have everything they need to stay safe, stable, and out of the ER.
Why This Role Stands Out
Autonomy to manage your own caseload and territory — you're trusted as the expert
Deep, longitudinal relationships with patients and families — you'll see your impact in real time
Work that blends critical care expertise with education, advocacy, and genuine human connection
Get out of the hospital without leaving clinical practice behind
What You'll Do
Manage and monitor a caseload of home ventilator‑dependent patients (pediatric and/or ALS)
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and reassessments in the home setting
Provide hands‑on ventilator and equipment training to patients and caregivers
Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize highly technical respiratory equipment
Serve as the primary clinical liaison between patients, families, and physician teams
Support care coordination and continuity across the full care team
Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory standards
What You Bring
Active, unrestricted RRT or RN license (required)
Experience with pediatric and/or ALS ventilator management (required)
Tracheostomy care experience (required)
Critical care, PICU, or home health respiratory background — ideal
Familiarity with ventilator platforms such as Care Orchestrator or Astral — a plus
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory
A clinician who communicates well, works independently, and genuinely cares about outcomes
Competitive salary based on experience
Full medical, dental, and vision coverage
401(k) with company match
Paid time off and paid holidays
Life and disability insurance
Employee assistance and wellness programs
This is a rare opportunity for a respiratory clinician ready to trade shift work for something with more depth, more autonomy, and more meaning — without stepping back from the clinical complexity that keeps you sharp.
