Shape the next generation of healthcare providers through high-impact nursing education delivered across classroom, clinical, lab, and simulation settings—including flexible evening and weekend classes on our Addison campus.

In this campus-based role, you will teach, mentor, and evaluate students while contributing to curriculum, service, and scholarship in alignment with Chamberlain’s mission.

What You’ll Do

Teaching & Student Success

Deliver engaging nursing instruction across classroom, online, clinical, lab, and simulation environments using technology and evidence-based methods

Create inclusive, student-centered learning experiences; identify individual needs and foster meaningful relationships

Evaluate student performance; provide timely, constructive feedback and remediation

Lead or support clinical learning experiences; connect theory to practice and ensure safe, ethical, and professional practice readiness

Curriculum & Academic Excellence

Contribute to curriculum development and implement course materials

Maintain academic standards by enforcing policies (attendance, exams, grading, late work)

Ensure all work aligns with licensure, regulatory, and accreditation requirements

Use technology, data, and AI tools to enhance teaching and student outcomes

Mentorship, Service & Collaboration

Provide coaching and support to students and new faculty

Participate in committees, program evaluation, and graduation activities

Collaborate with faculty, Extended Service Teams, and clinical partners

Build strong partnerships in a matrixed environment to drive results

Scholarship & Professional Development

Engage in scholarly activities (research, application, and dissemination of knowledge)

Maintain expertise through ongoing professional development

Demonstrate scholarship aligned to rank, meeting required criteria: Public, peer-reviewed, and accessible work

Education

Master’s Degree in a relevant field — Required

PhD in a relevant field — Preferred

Experience & Skills

2+ years of professional experience in a related discipline — Required

Strong communication, initiative, and sound judgment

Experience creating engaging learning environments

Conflict management and collaboration skills

Emotional intelligence to support diverse student needs

Proficiency with LMS platforms, simulation tools, and online learning technologies (AI familiarity preferred)

Licensure & Compliance

Active, unencumbered licensure or certification as required — Required

Maintain current clinical and regulatory credentials (as applicable)

Meet state-specific teaching requirements (see licensure guidelines)

Comply with clinical setting requirements (if applicable)

Education and experience must align with state regulations

Must be experientially prepared to teach assigned courses

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $98,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
