Work is  100% on-site,  primarily at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) facility in  Germantown, Maryland .

Global Engineering and Technology (GET)  is seeking a  Records Manager with Federal records management experience to serve as a  Records Manager / Program Specialist  supporting DOE's Office of Classification in Germantown, Maryland.  This essential team member will manage the records of the Office of Classification and its suboffices to meet DOE records management requirements.

Duties:

The Records Manager plans, controls, directs, organizes, trains, promotes, and executes activities involved in records creation, records maintenance and use, and records disposition to achieve adequate and proper documentation of the policies and transactions of the Office of Classification.

Primary duties include developing office policies and procedures for managing records, as well as creating and maintaining a filing system of classified and unclassified records.

Responsible for the oversight and continuous improvement of an electronic document system that meets DOE records management requirements and maintaining filing systems that allow for the easy retrieval of records when needed.

Technical responsibilities include coordinating with IT staff to create or improve upon electronic records systems that can be easily accessed by authorized personnel, digitizing records, and managing and keeping up to date with the organization's essential records plan as part of the Agency's Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan.

The Records Manager ensures the Records Inventory and Disposition Schedule (RIDS) meets Departmental records management requirements and is kept up to date and followed.

Compensation Range:

$120,000 - $145,000/year depending on skills and experience.
