Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments, including vital signs and medical documentation, to develop personalized care plans.
- Administer medications safely following HIPAA guidelines and medical terminology standards.
- Support individuals with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders through applied behavior analysis and behavior management strategies.
- Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations effectively while ensuring safety for clients and staff.
- Assist with intake procedures, data collection, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management to maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on behavioral health plans, special education needs, and addiction counseling when applicable.
- Support individuals with disabilities by implementing tailored interventions that promote social work principles and patient care best practices.
Requirements
- Valid licensure or certification as an LPN, RN, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, or recognized Direct Service Worker credential.
- Experience working with children and adults with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health support.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement and accurately document medical records using EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent communication skills for working with individuals with disabilities and their families; experience in special education is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations involving PTSD care or addiction counseling with professionalism and compassion.
