Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! This full-time contract position is designed for passionate COTAs eager to make a meaningful impact while working across multiple sites within a supportive educational environment. With a 40-hour workweek and several openings available, you'll join a collaborative team of professionals and have the chance to enrich the school-based therapy experience for students from diverse backgrounds. This is an onsite-only role, providing daily hands-on involvement with staff and students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Must hold an active California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Demonstrated experience in a school setting, supporting students' occupational therapy needs
- Comfortable working across K-12 caseloads and adapting to various school environments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Commitment to fostering growth and independence in students of all abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services as outlined in students' IEPs under OT supervision
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and OTs to support student progress and classroom integration
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials for use with individuals or small groups
- Travel between assigned school sites within the district as part of your weekly schedule
