Job Description
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for managing direct and indirect sales of Sealed Air Protective Packaging solutions throughout the Atlanta, Georgia market and surrounding territory. This role is focused on driving profitable growth through strategic account management, distributor engagement, new business development, and value-added packaging automation solutions.
The Sales Account Manager partners closely with distributors, end users, operations, technical service teams, and internal support functions to deliver innovative packaging solutions that improve customer productivity, reduce total cost, and enhance operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned territory within the Atlanta market and surrounding territory
- Develop strong relationships with distributors, end users, and strategic accounts
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities
- Drive growth across Sealed Air's Protective Packaging portfolio, including:
- Bubble and foam packaging
- Paper solutions
- Inflatable packaging systems
- FIP packaging systems
- Protective mailers and fulfillment solutions
- Conduct customer needs analysis and develop value-based packaging solutions
- Coordinate customer trials, demonstrations, and equipment installations
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support customer success
- Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM activity
- Execute pricing strategies and support contract negotiations
- Deliver territory growth plans aligned with regional and company objectives
- Support distributor training, sales engagement, and market development activities
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and customer operational challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of sales experience, preferably within packaging, industrial, manufacturing, automation, or distribution environments
- Experience managing distributor relationships and direct end-user accounts preferred
- Understanding of warehouse, fulfillment, manufacturing, or logistics operations preferred
- Strong consultative and solution-based selling skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills
- Results-oriented with a high degree of accountability and integrity
