Cincinnati, Ohio (On-Site) Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience & skill set) Shift: 1st Shift Overtime: Yes – Available Experience Level: Mid-Level (2–5+ Years) Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.This role exists to strengthen our team with skilled setup-capable machinists who can independently run jobs from blueprint to finished part. This role is for a machinist who takes pride in craftsmanship, values precision, and wants to continue expanding their capabilities — including exposure to larger, specialized equipment such as horizontal boring mills (HBMs) and vertical turret lathes (VTLs). --- Perform complete machine setups including tooling selection, workholding, and offset adjustments Review job routers and complex blueprints to determine optimal machining sequences Set speeds, feeds, and adjust programs at the machine to optimize cycle times and quality Run lathe and/or mill operations depending on experience Perform first-article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges Maintain tight tolerances and consistent quality standards Contribute to a safe, organized, and professional shop environment You'll have the opportunity to expand your skillset and work on larger, specialized equipment as you grow within the organization. --- Machines & Equipment You may work with: CNC Mills CNC Lathes Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs) Vertical Turret Lathes (VTLs) (Exact machine brands/controls to be discussed during interview.) --- Inspection Tools Micrometers Calipers Depth Gauges Standard precision measurement equipment --- What We're Looking For Required 2–5+ years of CNC machining setup and operation experience Ability to read complex blueprints and interpret GD&T Experience selecting tooling, determining speeds and feeds Strong understanding of workholding and offsets Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs Comfortable working full shifts in a production environment High School Diploma or GED Preferred (Not Required) Vocational training or completed apprenticeship Experience on large-frame equipment (HBM, VTL) Programming edits at the machine --- Why Machinists Like Working Here Machinists choose Queen City Mfg because: Your technical input is valued You're trusted to run complete setups There is room to grow into specialized equipment Overtime and performance bonuses reward productivity Flexible scheduling supports work-life balance Competitive pay with real advancement potential This is a shop where skill matters — and good machinists are respected. --- Pay, Benefits & Schedule Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00/hr (DOE) Overtime: Available Bonus Structure: Quarterly performance bonuses Benefits 401(k) with Company Match Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Multiple Health Insurance Plan Options Paid Time Off Vacation Pay Holiday Pay Flexible Scheduling --- Apply Interested machinists can apply directly through hireCNC.
