As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our facility, ensuring that our residents feel commitment to excellence is evident in everything we do, and we are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team.
About the Role:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of the Housekeeping Department, following current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility. You will work closely with the Director of Environmental Services to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, colleagues, and visitors.
Essential Job Functions:
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism
- Deal tactfully with personal, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of housekeeping areas
- Perform regular inspections of resident's rooms for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties
- Handle residents based on their individual needs and abilities
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing housekeeping practices
- Follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, and disinfecting solutions
- Relay information concerning a resident's condition
- Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept
- Read, write, and speak English
- Complete all documentation and participate in mandatory in-services
- Function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
- May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
- Complete other duties as directed by the Director of Environmental Services
