Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes with attention to authenticity, presentation, and quality.
• Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes or improvements based on ingredient availability and customer preferences.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pots, poaching stations, and knives with skill and safety.
• Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times to meet health regulations.
• Support high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably with fine dining or Asian cuisine experience.
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food safety management.
• Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment with excellent time management skills.
• Experience with dietary department protocols or dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, catering, and serving processes is desirable.
• Prior restaurant experience demonstrating culinary expertise and teamwork skills is required.
