Lakeland Regional Health, a leading medical center in Central Florida, is seeking an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse to join their team. - Functions within the scope of an approved practice protocol under the general supervision of a physician who practices at Lakeland Regional Health and with designated administrative oversight.
- Collaborates with members of the health care team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies.
- Shares responsibility for all aspects of patient care and team functions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the direct patient care of selected patient populations, utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned patients.
- Conduct initial assessments, perform procedures as privileged, prepare patients for discharge, complete History and Physical examinations, and Discharge Summaries.
- Assure timely updates of patient and family care plans.
- Collaborate with nursing staff as teacher, coach, and mentor to ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Participate in research via one or more of the following: data synthesis, research utilization, and translation of research into practice and/or generation of new investigations.
- Engage in clinical and professional leadership activities such as nursing shared governance, hospital-based committees, community, regional and/or national organizations, and specialty-based program development.
- Promote use of current evidence-based nursing practice necessary for the advancement of patient care and nursing practice.
- Organize job functions efficiently and manages work assignments in order to effectively complete assignments within established time frames.

- Work Hours per Biweekly Pay Period: 64.00
- Shift: Monday - Friday
Requirements
- Master Degree
- Current license as an Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse
- Minimum one-year experience in an Acute Care setting
- Demonstrates excellence in critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and effective communication
- Certifications Essential: Per department or hospital requirements and relevant policies
- Certifications Preferred: Board Certified as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
