Real Property Support Specialist (On-Site at Kirtland Air Force Base)

GenTech Associates is a consulting firm that helps federal agencies improve financial and operational performance. We are looking for a Real Property Support Specialist to help the U.S. Air Force track and manage its buildings, facilities, and land on Kirtland Air Force Base. Training will be provided—if you have an accounting background and strong attention to detail, we can teach you the real property side.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll help make sure the government knows what property it owns and that records match what is actually on base. Your daily work may include:

• Physical checks of buildings and rooms to confirm they exist and are documented correctly.
• Helping with inventory counts and completing simple forms for property records.
• Reviewing property documents, titles, and maps to make sure records are accurate.
• Updating the property database and verifying documents match what’s recorded.
• Supporting audits by pulling documents and helping ensure compliance.
• Working with teammates to answer questions, solve issues, and keep property records accurate.
• Helping train others as needed and learning real property processes along the way.

This position is 100% on-site at Kirtland Air Force Base.

What We’re Looking For

• Accounting background preferred (we will train you in real property).
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to work hands-on (including walking buildings and facilities).
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer systems.
• Able to learn government property processes and follow detailed procedures.
• U.S. citizen and able to pass a Kirtland AFB background check.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma required.
• Accounting degree or related degree is a plus.
• Experience in real property, government, or accounting is helpful but not required—we will train the right candidate.
