Truck Mechanic

As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and support equipment used in asphalt paving and construction operations throughout Iowa and Nebraska.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and support vehicles.

Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and air systems.

Complete inspections and identify potential mechanical issues before failures occur.

Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic equipment.

Perform emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.

Ensure all repairs meet DOT regulations and company safety standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communicate repair needs and equipment status with supervisors and drivers.

Assist with other fleet maintenance projects as needed.
