Job Overview

NV Catering is seeking an energetic, organized, and customer-focused Catering Sales Representative to help grow our catering and event business. This position is responsible for managing client inquiries, conducting consultations, preparing proposals, securing bookings, and guiding clients through the planning process from initial inquiry to event execution. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating exceptional event experiences.

Duties

  • Respond promptly to catering and event inquiries via phone, email, website, and social media.
  • Conduct client consultations to determine event needs, budgets, and expectations.
  • Prepare customized catering proposals, menus, contracts, and invoices.
  • Follow up with prospective clients to increase booking conversions.
  • Maintain consistent communication with booked clients throughout the planning process.
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, wedding professionals, venues, and community organizations.
  • Participate in networking events, bridal shows, open houses, and marketing initiatives.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Gather event details including guest counts, timelines, venue information and dietary restrictions.
  • Coordinate with culinary, operations, and service teams to ensure event requirements are accurately communicated.
  • Prepare event orders and planning documents for production and execution teams.
  • Schedule tastings, venue tours, and planning meetings.
  • Assist clients with menu selections and event logistics.
  • Ensure all event information is accurate and updated in company systems.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain detailed records of inquiries, proposals, bookings, and client communications.
  • Process contracts, deposits, and payments according to company procedures.
  • Track sales activity and booking goals.
  • Prepare reports as requested by management.
  • Assist with office duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in catering sales, event planning, hospitality sales, wedding sales, or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to attend off-site events, venue tours, and networking functions as needed.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time or Part-Time Available
  • Some evenings and weekends required for tours, tastings, open houses, and events.

  • Base hourly wage or salary (depending on experience)
