Role Description The Assistant Operations Manager is a contract, on-site role based in Vancouver, WA, supporting daily warehouse operations and helping ensure accurate, efficient handling of inventory and orders. This position assists with organizing stock, overseeing receiving orders, and maintaining clean, safe work areas. The role includes monitoring inventory levels, supporting cycle counts, and helping implement stock control procedures to minimize discrepancies and reports to senior management. This position coordinates with the Warehouse Manager and team members to prioritize tasks, and help track performance metrics. This position requires consistent on-site presence, hands-on work, and clear communication with both warehouse staff and other internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to maintain accurate records and reduce stock variances.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Management to support ordering, replenishment, and organization of materials.
  • Candidates should possess skills to assist with workflow planning, process improvement, and coordination of warehouse activities.
  • Experience in warehouse or distribution environments, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as needed, and to stand or walk for extended periods in a warehouse setting.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with attention to accuracy and safety.
  • Familiarity with warehouse systems or inventory software is beneficial.
  • Candidates should be fluent in Quickbooks online and Website editing, Receivables and Payables.
